I provide light to dark streets
For those who prowl at night
Making it more secure
For those who venture into my life
Why did the God of light
Choose to make me a simple streetlight?
I WANT TO BE A MOON
I wanna have stars in my room
The moon depends on the sun
The source of its power
I guess that accounts
For its modest demeanor
But at the same time
When full, it’s romantic
And for those who believe tales Of werewolves, tragic
It shows off on my kindred
When power is out
Gleaming its glory
Across the clouds
Fanatics leave shelters
In a quest to behold its radiance
Even the great MJ
Thinks the moon can dance
It’s exalted
It’s praised
I can’t even shine my light
With my head raised
But then sooner or later u have to realise your purpose
You have no control
Over what God wants you to be
Me? I’m tired of complaining
I’ve just got to be ME
