I glanced up from my busy schedule
to see beauty personified,
to see the sparkle in her eyes...
...when she laughs
or boasts simple yet beautiful smiles
that has my heart making random beats
as my eyes retreat
desperately trying not to stare
but it wasnt cuz it was bad manners
it was nothing more than fear
I was introduced to her
and as we shook hands
it was like the storm passed
and sun rays hit the beach sands...
...for the first time
but I played it cool
afraid to act the fool
like my heart demanded
For years she disappeared
my heart forgot about her
or so I thought
eyes locked yet again and I was caught
those jitters came rushing back
thank God I'm black
cuz you'd see the red in my cheeks
stealing glances as interest peaks
we started spending more and more time together
soon after, all I thought about was you
a dream come thru
well,it hasn't
...not yet anyway
I dont know when or what'll become of us
but we'll see where this goes
I know I love you
and I dont care who knows
